Delivering digital training to drive online participation

Through a range of offline and online programs Yvette Adams has developed and delivered digital skills training to thousands of businesses and individuals across Australia and New Zealand.

Yvette actively gives back to the community by:

  • offering scholarships for worthy recipients to participate in online programs
  • posting monthly webinars on emerging technologies and digital marketing methods such as Snapchat
  • speaking gratis at digital-related events
  • providing pro bono services for initiatives such as Foot in the Door, a summer internship program connecting Sunshine Coast student to local businesses for work experience and internships
  • participating in the Sunshine Coast Council's High Value Industry Taskforce for Knowledge and Professional Services sector and the Innovation and Investment summit.

Yvette's digital skills training encourages people to participate online, become more digitally savvy and adopt digital technologies. Her online programs have assisted people from all walks of life – Indigenous, disabled, seniors, students and women – with some notable successes. The training equips participants with essential skills such as social media, search engine optimisation and website design and development to establish businesses online and market them effectively.

Yvette also crowdsourced the movie Code: Debugging the Gender Gap, and held the Queensland premiere in May. She is a media commentator and speaker on digital skills and has published a book, No Kidding: Why Our Kids Know More About Technology than Us and What We Can Do About It in 2014, and later this year will host her own online TV show called YES – Young Entrepreneur Success.

Located on the Sunshine Cost, this digital entrepreneur is founder and CEO of three small businesses –The Creative Collective (thecreativecollective.com.au), The Training Collective (thetrainingcollective.com.au) and awardshub.com.

As a digital champ, Yvette will continue to provide digital training, consultancy and digital marketing services at the local and national level to assist more people to succeed online.
