Taj Pabari - Round 1, 2016 Champion

Consultation has concluded

Taj Pabari

Teen entrepreneur, keynote speaker and educational pioneer

Taj Pabari is a ‘digital native’ and at just sixteen years-old, he’s already an inventor and an entrepreneur. Remarkably he’s also a philanthropist and an educational pioneer.

Taj made his entrepreneurial debut at the age of eleven, when he founded his first ‘company’ – an electronic blogging site for children, by children.

In 2014 Taj founded Fiftysix Creations, to commercialise his invention – an educational do-it-yourself tablet kit for children. Taj’s idea is to ignite the creative spark in all children by helping them to build and customise their very own tablet, as a way of learning about computer hardware and software and how they work.

The year twelve student at John Paul College in Brisbane says he has a passion for inspiring children to embrace the world of entrepreneurship through technology and innovation.

  • Taj won the 2014 Australian Young Innovator of the Year for his Fiftysix tablet kit.

  • He has been a keynote speaker at various conferences, schools and universities around Australia.

In 2015, Taj and the Fiftysix team donated tablets to over 10 regions in rural Australia, India and Nepal.

In April 2016, alongside Queensland Government, the Fiftysix team will be donating tablet kits to Aboriginal children in Cairns.

Various other digital activities will be completed and conducted by Taj and his team over the course of 2016.

Taj is nominated by: Digital Careers
