Pauline O'Sullivan

Using technology to transform nutritional health

Sunshine Coast based, Pauline O’Sullivan is the Co-Founder and Director of the Victus Health Nutrition Platform – a comprehensive database of healthy recipes, tailored for a range of health conditions.

The database, developed by Pauline and her business partner Michelle Ridgway, uses specialised meal planning software that enables health practitioners to design and deliver complex personalised nutrition plans to their patients, in minutes instead of hours.

Pauline has a Psychology Degree and worked for many years for the Queensland Government in Social Services. It was Pauline’s experience managing her daughter’s health condition with an elimination diet that provided the catalyst for the creation of The Victus Platform.

Pauline believes an important way to address many aspects of chronic disease is to address poor nutrition and that new technologies can play a significant role in changing attitudes to healthy nutrition and improving practices – to create a healthier nation.

The Victus Nutrition Platform brings together years of scientific research into one application, allowing complex nutritional health care programs to be:

  • personalized for the individual by health professionals

  • easily accessed by clients

  • readily sharable among the client’s support network.

The platform was successfully launched in Australia in November 2013, and is now being used in 10 countries.

Pauline is an energetic member of the Sunshine Coast business community. She’s a natural collaborator with strong community values. She’s already been acknowledged by Digital Sunshine Coast as a local digital champion for her innovation and willingness to adopt and share digital business solutions.

Since the inception of Victus Health in 2011, Pauline has spoken to hundreds of Australian health professionals, many completely new to the digital space. Pauline’s goal is to help people overcome their fear of change; through the platform, she advocates for new technology, highlighting the efficiency benefits and guaranteeing an easy, user friendly interface.

Pauline will continue to play a leading role, improving nutritional health outcomes by developing and advising others in:

  • cloud-based software design and architecture

  • subscription-based digital products

  • social media development

  • digital marketing

  • educating users to be digitally savvy in practice.

Pauline is nominated by: Sunshine Coast Council
