Improving school curriculums through digital technology
Michelle Goan, a teacher at Brisbane State High School, is a Digital Learning Champion and mentor to her colleagues. Her passion and dedication to educating teachers about incorporating digital technology in the classroom is improving the learning experience of hundreds of school children every year.
A teacher for 26 years, Michelle has taught both primary and secondary school students. Arriving at Brisbane State High in 2015, Michelle is well respected by teachers, students and the wider school community.
Michelle has implemented a range of new school curriculum initiatives that use digital technology. She also benefits from apps in her own classroom including iMovie, Bookcreator, Inspiration Maps and Seesaw to create and document work, Showbie to provide feedback to students, and Padlet and Nearpod for student collaboration.

As a Community Digital Champion, Michelle will continue to encourage and support teachers to use digital technology in classrooms to enhance learning opportunities for students. Michelle will also share her knowledge by presenting a Padlet workshop to students in the English and Humanities Department.
