Mentoring businesses and students in digital marketing

Luke Humble is passionate about digital marketing and sharing his knowledge with businesses and students in his community.

Originally from the UK, Luke started his first website development company when he was just 15 years old. After pursuing these interests through studies and professional roles in IT and digital marketing, he re-located to the Sunshine Coast in 2013.

Luke is a digital champion nurturing the thriving digital scene on the Sunshine Coast by:

  • serving on the board of the 4556 Chamber of Commerce, enhancing and implementing their digital strategy
  • initiating links between the University of Sunshine Coast and local ICT businesses * running workshops and events such as Mentor Blaze, Startup Weekend, and library workshops across the Coast
  • guest lecturing at University of Sunshine Coast, teaching students of eMedia, marketing and communications, eBusiness and international business studies
  • offering his expertise on the mentor panel of the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast, helping start-ups on the Coast to build a ‘smart’ business
  • assisting the Sunshine Coast WordPress meet-up group

Luke is often asked to talk about the importance of digital media in marketing strategies for business and he produces regular blog articles as an additional resource for local organisations.

In his role as a digital champ, Luke will continue to mentor and educate to raise digital media take-up in his region.
