Dan has worked in the field since Facebook advertising started, initially using social media to market his web design agency. In 2012, seeing a growing need for his services, he established Wide Reach Social Media where he is Managing Director. Since then, he has worked with hundreds of businesses to help them find leads and win more sales.

Dan is also the editor of Social Media Success Magazine, a dual-format (digital and print) journal freely available for download from its website (http://socialmediasuccessmagazine.com). The magazine showcases successful business owners and managers and uses case studies, some of which can also be viewed on Dan's company website, to show the benefits of social media to promote a business.

Dan was first recognised as a Community Digital Champion in 2016. As a continuing Champion, he aims to keep assisting people to turn their great ideas into businesses that provide great value, and to effectively utilise the digital marketing and digital business tools available today. He will share his expertise through The Generator, during presentations and workshops with the local business community and businesses he works with.

Dan is nominated by: Bundaberg Regional Council
