Consultation has concluded

Clinton Begg

Helping not-for-profit organisations understand social media

Clinton Begg is a Mackay local and passionate NRL fan who is scoring his own digital conversions by helping local businesses and not-for-profits to adopt social media platforms in their marketing mix.

Clinton manages online campaigns including strategy, training and content as Director of CB5 Management. With a diverse background in retail business, community work and stadium management, Clinton is using his skills and experiences to ‘give back’ to his local community.

Clinton provides his expertise and assistance to a wide variety of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations. He provides on-going support to:

  • Cootharinga North Queensland, a disability support provider
  • Mackay District Rugby League Referees Association
  • Mackay Women in Business
  • Incredable Limited, a recycling initiative that provides employment for people with a disability and other disadvantaged job seekers.

He helps these groups to successfully promote their services and increase public awareness on their social media platforms by:

  • developing a social media strategy
  • creating engaging content
  • adding value to online campaigns through innovative technologies
  • mentoring individual staff and volunteers to embrace digital technologies and use social media platforms effectively.

As a digital champ, Clinton will continue to ‘pass it forward’ in the Mackay region by taking more NFPs under his wing. He is planning to assist a local neighbourhood centre and a new charity to engage with social media.

Clinton is nominated by: Cootharinga North Queensland.
