Sowing the seeds for digital startup success

Andrea Martins is a digital role-model helping and inspiring local entrepreneurs to grow the seed of their idea. She provides support and mentoring via her blog, where she shares the lessons and mistakes of her own digital startup journey.

Based on the Sunshine Coast, Andrea has had great success with her own online businesses. She sold her first website for six figures and as a co-founder of online lawn mowing startup GreenSocks, she recently completed the River City Labs Accelerator Program that provides funding and mentoring to a select group of startups.

Andrea has generously given her time to share information and inspiration with other digital entrepreneurs:

  • sharing her experiences on her #PayItForward start-up blog
  • writing regular articles for the Queensland Tech Street Journal and other publications
  • presenting at the State Library of Queensland’s Lunchbox Series
  • serving on Spark Bureau’s Incubator panel of advisors.

Andrea has also organised various startup networking events on the Sunshine Coast. She has acted as a mentor for Generation Innovation, a local organisation facilitating startups for young entrepreneurs.

As a digital champ, Andrea will continue to be active in the thriving Sunshine Coast startup community.

In addition, Andrea is currently helping to cultivate a new online business in the community sector which will launch in 2017.
